When I really set autoplay for a YouTube video (iframe API) on my site, it does not work is. All documents Apple has disabled autoplay on iOS for bandwidth reasons.
However, I think that videos are run automatically on youtube.com on the iPad (without clicking on the video element). How did YouTube work it out? It would be hard to imagine that Apple only makes something special for YouTube.
It seems that the YouTube team
remember youtube.com SPA (single page application), so there is no page reload or redirection.
P> Then, youtube.com does not have autoplay enabled.
