css3 - My page CSS is broken in IE8, why? Trying to figure out what I have done wrong -


One of my page css seems a bit broken in IE8. I thought that if I said clearly: both problems would have been fixed, but the elements are still ... good please, see for yourself:

"A little broken" is not a technical description.

IE8 is not aware of HTML5 elements, so you do not let them style like modern browsers. You need to add HTML5 Shiv which is Javascript which will notify IE8 of those elements and will allow them to be styled. As it sits, you can ignore any CSS style like article .

Just copy it into the head of your page to see it:
