cordova - PhoneGap Build version 2.7.0 ignoring fullscreen preference in config.xml on Android -

I have followed very clear instructions on this page:

I included the following line in my The Config.xml file (which is actually located at the top level of my app): & lt; Priority name = "fullscreen" value = "true" />

And so far the status bar at the top of the screen remains

This is my full config.xml file If it helps ..

   & Lt; Priority name = "fullscreen" value = "true" /> & Lt; Preference name = "webviewbase" value = "wrong" /> & Lt; Icon src = "icon.png" /> & Lt; Gap: splash src = "splash.png" /> & Lt; / Widgets & gt;   
 Any help is appreciated, thanks!   
 
 
 Just type your  index.html  as the file  config. Xml  file, as you need, has been modified in the same directory:  
  Note:  In this case, if we have  public /  in our application, then all the stylesheets and javascript first Only compiled and kept inside one.  
 And now just follow the magic!
