PHP grab content function, inside meta tags? -

I'm trying to improve my site structure per schema.

Then I have:

  & lt; Div class = "post" & gt; & Lt ;? Php the_content ()? & Gt; & Lt; / Div & gt;   
 And I want something like this:  
  & lt; Div class = "post" & gt; & Lt; Meta itemprop = "textbox" content = "& lt ;? php the_content ()? & Gt;" & Gt; & Lt; / Div & gt;   
 But it removes images from the content, and adds  "& gt; . So I know I'm not closing it properly But how do I "stop PHP", and  content = ""  tag
