Will YouTube re-encode a file when uploading, which has the recommended video format (H.264)? -

Will YouTube re-encode a video file, which will be uploaded with H.264 encoding? I am currently working on a video steganography project. Is it possible to upload to YouTube without any video re-encoding?

To prevent YouTube from re-encoding your video; However, you can increase your video in 4k to increase the bitrate, YT will turn it into encode again.

This means that if you record something on 1080, and increase the quality editor in 4k and upload it in the same way ... then you can run it back on YT at 4k And can get less compression.
