Vi / Vim for project of more than a few files -

I usually use an IDE for big projects and temporary files etc. for small single file scripts. .

Recently I have heard of people that they also use large projects - in fact, quite protective and proud to do so.

I have tried, but I found it very cumbersome that any other programmers use Vi for medium and large projects? If so, are there any tips / tips you can offer to navigate multiple files to navigate?

I have tried to use tmux to see that these things have been made easy - but it is still feeling quite a cumbersome

There is no magic device that can make everything perfect. Vim is an editor, and it's great, but it's not and will not ever have an IDE.

There is a PDA project that was created in the IDE vim, for better negotiation while using Python, but it was discarded.

eclim which is actually a clean tool that can use eclipse as backend IDE for tagging, refining, debugging etc. For all the powers of eclipse, some keystrokes can be reached from inside Vim. But you need to run in the background, which is like hiding an elephant under the carpet ...

There are very few plugins you might want to use, and I'm pretty sure that Everyone has a favorite set of plugins, which helps to easily navigate in code and tagging (such as Batman, Nordicity, etc.)

Finally, there is a shell, and it is a shell All is Vim, the right way of things lot Uc that is, to navigate to the source, such as, to begin coordinating and parsing errors etc. And which is not good for VIM, you can use your shell, GIT stuff to execute, to open more windows to edit the code.

However, There is no right answer to your question, and I am sure that your questions will be closed due to being "non-constructive".
