See Windows ships with Extensible Storage Engine (ESE). I am thinking that if someone knows that Java's native Windows File System API supports this or if there is a JNI based project that supports its use. In this regard, my Googling has not done anything
You can access all the functions supported by Extensible For Java (esent.dll) windows API, the storage engine I have tried it and it has worked for me.
