rvm - Installing Passenger: use sudo, rvmsudo or nothing...? -

There is a bit confused about installing a passenger on my local Mac. I am using:

RVM version 1.21.2 (static) Ruby 2.0.0p195

and downloaded passenger -4.0.5.

There is a discussion on whether to use rvmsudo or not here:

In short, suggests using sudo .

But the RVM page does not suggest:

And to make it all more confusing, using this up-voted SO page rvmsudo Suggests!

Do I ask "right" to do this?

If you use RVM then either drop sudo and Travelers will tell you what to do or use rvmsudo and the traveler should do everything for you.

When you do not use RVM, it may still depend on more factors, basically the environment including sudo with PATH Disables the Ruby version that breaks the switcher - so it will only work if you install Ruby with your distribution or manually run the system path - which is Ruby, without the same sudo Equals, but not always.

Just drop sudo , the traveler will tell you what to do.
